How To See A Show At The Teatro Colón
As one of the most infamous theater houses in the entire world, it’s no surprise visitors and locals alike are consistently visiting performances in this beautifully grand performance venue. With offerings from ballet, to symphonies, and even to operas, there’s no limit as to what you can come see for yourself!
You are given the option between buying tickets online, or you can choose to buy them in-person. I myself have bought these at the theater, without experiencing long wait times, but depending on your time crunch, that may be up to your discretion. Seats can range anywhere between $4 USD - $100 USD, so be sure you know exactly what you’re selecting!
Many performances even offer the option to stand high up in the balconies (in nose-bleed seats unfortunately) for a very cheap price. Views from practically every location in the theater house have generally decent views of the stage, so don’t be too concerned about visibility unless you’re placed on an extreme side of the auditorium.
Besides performances, you may also book a tour here to have a more intimate experience with the unique and mesmerizing architecture. There are daily offerings from 9AM-5PM, for a very small fee. Regardless of how you visit this majestic infrastructure, be sure to give it a priority on your Buenos Aires to-do list!
